The donations under the charity initiative “The Bulgarian Christmas” 2005 have exceeded BGN 1,000,000. By noon today the collected funds amounted to BGN 1,021,172.

President Georgi Parvanov today personally donated BGN 1,500. The employees in the Administration of the President donated BGN 35,470.

At 1 p.m tomorrow, 22 December 2005, the Medilon company will donate to the Paediatrics ward of the St Anna Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment medical equipment for BGN 3,600. The hospital is one of the clinics “The Bulgarian Christmas” 2005 will support. The equipment donated enables bloodless tests of children.

The decisions for the allocation of funds and for the purchase of medical equipment are taken with the signing of a tri-partite protocol by representatives of the Administration of the President, Nova Television and the Bulgarian National Television.
