List of the children who were supported by
"The Bulgarian Christmas - 2006"

Fifteen children – Yavor Dimitrov, 6, Alexander Andreev, 7, Antonii Spassov, 7, Borislav Kaptiev, 9,  Kristian Mitev, 6, Chanita Rasheva, 12, Hristo Genov, 9, Anton Dryanovski, 15, Miglena Milcheva, Viktor Stefanov, 1, and Rossitsa Simeonova, suffer from chronic renal insufficiency and are in need of supporting treatment with medications, which are not paid by the NHIF. Medicines were provided for them. Two of the children will have a kidney transplant. At the request of the parents, the names of some children are not announced publicly.
Ten children – Daniel Dinev, 5, Simona Sarandeva, 11, Theodore Gyurov, 10, Mihaela Damyanova, 7, Lyubomir Anchev, 5, Peter-Nikolai Ranov, 9, Kristian Hristov, 18, Genoveva Georgieva, David Lashkov, 9, Polina Petrova, 4, are diagnosed with nephrotic sydrome. They need supporting treatment with the medication Sandimmun Neoral, which is not paid either by the NHIF or the central government budget. Funds from “The Bulgarian Christmas” were used to buy their necessary medicines.
Six children – Isabella Tomova, 11, Jossif Jossifov, 5, Blagovesta Kostadinova, 4, Nadezhda Kehadjiiska, 6, Elvin Husseinova, 12, and Slavi Pantev, suffer from osteogenesis imperfecta – fragile bones. For five of the children medications were bought with funds from “The Bulgarian Christmas”. For one of the children an expensive implant for an orthopaedic operation was provided.
For 24 children, suffering from infantile cerebral paralysis – Lyubomir Elenkov, 5, Petya Zefireva, 8, Vesselina Grahlyova, 18, Todor Katsarov, 10, Simeon Kostadinov, 7, Atanas Mihailov, 13, Alexandra Georgieva, 16, Nicole Alexandrova, 5, Marina Ilieva, 2, Georgi Balinski, 5, Sophia Stoyanova, 13, Bogomil Bandjakov, 6, Nikolai Georgiev, 7, Akai Yusuf, 4, Theodora Yurukova, 9, Velislav Todorov, 5, Luchezar Zamfirov, 4, Andrea Bozova, 2, Daniel Grigorov, 3, Stoyanka Garkova, 13, Elena Kaldarumova, 7, Georgi Bachev, 17, Yordan Ivanov, 10, Antonio Nikolaev, 9, funds have been provided for rehabilitation, stem cell implants and the purchase of aids.
For 7 children disgnosed with retinopathy of prematurity – Milena Petrova, 3, Roberto Arnaoudov, 2, Yanitsa Vulcheva, 10, Dessislava Paterkova, 15, Alexander Tomov, 2, Petya Todorova and Ilian Ivanov, funds were provided for operative treatment abroad. For two of the children, funds were needed for the post-operative period.
For 27 children suffering from extremely rare and combined diseases – Miroslav Ninov, 14, – juvenile arthritis, Dimiter Rangelov, 17, – Hodgkin's disease, Simeon Kirilov, 8, – microencephaly, Marin Metodiev, 15, – metabolic syndrome, Dimiter Georgiev, 17, – cleft palate, Mirela Mircheva, 17, – damage to the spinal column after an accident, Evgeni Yordanov, 18, – congenital anomaly of the excretory system, Dian Kostov, 19, – osteoporosis, Bozhidar Dechev, 6, – West syndrome, Felis Hassan, 10, – meningoencephalitis, Ivan Andreev, 9, – metabolic encephalopathy, Luis Arias, 9, – Noonan syndrome, Neilian Tahirova, 8, – atrophy of the optic nerve, Boris Denev, 16, - immunoglobulin deficiency, Ivan Kaloudov Kaloudov, 18, – tumour of the pituitary gland, funds from “The Bulgarian Christmas” were allocated to provide expensive medications, vitally necessary apparatus, operative treatment and rehabilitation. At the request of the parents, the names of the other children are not announced publicly.
Funds from “The Bulgarian Christmas” have been donated for the treatment of another 3 children with extremely grave diseases, whose names, at the request of their parents, are also not announced publicly.

Paediatric and Neonatology ward of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Shumen. An echograph, respirator, monitoring system, incubator and blood-gas analysis equipment were purchased.

Neonatology ward of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Dobrich. An echograph, respirator and two incubators were purchased. 

Neonatology ward of the Dr. Stamen Iliev Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Montana. A respirator, incubators and a transport incubator were purchased.

Neonatology ward of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Blagoevgrad. An echograph, respirator, incubator, monitor, non- invasive respiratory monitoring system, blood-gas analysis equipment and transport incubator were purchased.

Paediatric Otolaryngology Clinic of the Queen Ioanna Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Sofia. A bronchoscope and infusion pumps were purchased.

Paediatric and Neonatology ward of the Dr. Atanas Dafovski Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Kurdjali. An echograph, respirator, two incubators, two monitors, a blood-gas analysis apparatus and a photo lamp were purchased.

Neonatology ward of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Rousse. A respirator, a transport incubator, and two incubators were purchased.      

Paediatric ward of the R. Angelova Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Pernik. An echograph, incubator and non- invasive respiratory monitoring system were purchased.

Neonatology ward of First Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Sofia. Six incubators and X-ray equipment were purchased.     

Neonatology ward of the Dr. Shukerov Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Smolyan. An echograph, two incubators, monitor and a non- invasive respiratory monitoring system were purchased.

Specialised Hospital for Active Treatment of children’s diseases, Sofia. A monitoring system, respirator and a non- invasive respiratory system were purchased. 

National Cardiology Hospital, Sofia. An echograph was purchased

2nd University Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology ‘‘Sheinovo”, Sofia. An Argus vital signs monitor was purchased.

University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, Pleven. A non- invasive respiratory monitoring system was purchased.
